Stick packaging machine automatic filling of dry granular products, such as coffee, creamer, tea, sugar, salt, spices, milk powder, instant drink powder, and other similar products in stick packages.
A stick packaging machine is a fully automatic unit and requires minimum operator skills for setting operation parameters, installing film rolls, loading a product inside the product hopper.
Working principle
The product is pulled out from the product hopper with the help of a conveyor. The conveyor belt is made of special material with high adhesion properties. The product hopper is equipped with adjustable gates to control the volume of product feeding as well as with a sensor to control product level inside the hopper. The product is filled inside the formed package (stick) through tubes at a set volume.
After filling the package at a set volume, the machine controller sends a signal to the stepper motor to start the drive of the conveyor belt, which leads to the start of a new product filling cycle.
The seam sealing unit works on the principle of constant heating. When moving downwards, the jaws remain in a closed position, which allows the packaging material to be pulled. The roll is unwinded and the packaging material is folded through the forming collar into a sleeve around the guide tube.
Once the filled package (stick) reaches the bottom point of the machine, it is cut by a special knife. The cutting unit can be equipped with a flat or toothed blade. The final package (stick) falls to the floor, into a special container (box), or onto an outfeed conveyor.
